The RP “Triple Barrel” is a tri-barrel break-action shotgun, taking all the benefits of a traditional over under, and adding a third barrel for a significant increase in capability.
Break action shotguns are often favoured for their extreme reliability, durability, balance, handling and choke-tube stacking capability (ie cylinder first, full second). However they have always been compromised in shot count. The introduction of the RP “Triple Barrel” adds a significant advantage in having a 3rd shot, translating to higher success in the field or an extra chance towards that pesky clay bird.
The barrels on the RP are 26” in length and steel shot rated, with a 8mm top rib. They are made using premium ordnance-grade 42CrMo4 billet steel. Straightness in ensured with a maximum concentricity tolerance of 0.05 to provide superior balance and highly consistent shooting performance. The barrels are internally chrome lined with interchangeable chokes and finished with a corrosion resistant black chrome plating on the exterior. Each barrel undergoes rigorous proof testing with overloaded ammunition—a standard procedure that guarantees integrity and safety far beyond normal operating conditions. The front sight is green fibre optic to rapid target acquisition and pick-up in low light.
The heart of a shotgun’s reliability lies in its action. Using state-of-the-art CNC machinery, The receiver is machined from a single block of 7000 series alloy. KOFS components are machined to exacting tolerances, ensuring that every part fits together perfectly, resulting in a smooth, consistent, and jam-free action cycle.
KOFS stocks are designed using ergonomic principles, shaped to fit the natural anatomy of the shooter for better control and reduced felt recoil. Made from select, seasoned walnut, they are built to handle impact and stress, providing a stable platform that enhances accuracy and reduces shooter fatigue. The stocks are oil finished and feature a double thickness rubber buttpad for shooting comfort.
Before a KOFS firearm leaves the facility, it must pass a series of stringent quality control checks. This includes function testing, headspace verification, and final inspection by expert gunsmiths.
