Description:
The MRX Bison is a compact, light and rugged bolt action rifle that is chambered in 556 NATO. This rifle would be comfortable in its scabbard on the side of a horse, packed, slung or mounted onto a Utility Vehicle for ranch, range or backcountry duty. The vertical pistol grip and adjustable stock allows for the rifle to be shot comfortably in any position and the AR15 spec magazine will continue to feed up to 30 rounds of ammunition (based on legal magazine capacity in your area). In addition to being compatible with AR15 spec magazines, the MRX Bison also feeds from MRX Mags. The MRX Mag is a proprietary 20 round bolt action magazine that has longer feed lips and a follower stop that (unlike AR15 mags) allows the action to be closed with a fitted, empty magazine. The Bison sits in an aluminum, monolithic chassis and is available with 12.5 inch and 16.5 inch barrels.
The Bison is a true utility bolt action that is compatible with AR15 spec magazines, stocks and grips and can accept universal 1913 pic rail accessories.
Features:
- The MRX Bison can be feed from either an AR15 spec mag or the MRX MAG, a 20 round bolt action magazine that is made specifically for the MRX Supershort action.
- To protect the barrel from impacts in harsh environments, or to add forward mounted optics such as night vision, The MRX Bison can be fitted with a barrel shroud.
- The MRX Bison is fitted with a TriggerTech trigger. The TriggerTech trigger is known as one of the smoothest single stage “zero creep” triggers on the market and can be adjusted from 2.5 to 5 pounds of pull.
