Product Description

Used Gun Condition :: Very Good ::

A :: Very Good :: firearm appears to be perfect mechanically but may have minor cosmetic blemishes.

Folding rear sight and front blade sight with textured ramp and removable hood.  Classic pre 64 action topped with Weaver bases features a reshaped 2-panel checkered bolt handle and modestly checkered bolt release.  Bolt runway and feed ramp polished for silky smooth feeding from the Griffin & Howe hinged floorplate assembly with inside trigger guard release.  Well figured walnut stock styled in one of Fisher's earlier patterns featuring a swept cheekpiece, perfectly executed wrap around borderless fleur-de-lis checkering, classic ebony tip, finished off with matching Biesen steel buttplate and pistol grip cap.  Fisher’s legendary wood-metal fitment is apparent throughout.
Weight with bases: 7 lbs 6 oz. LOP: 13-3/8″

PROVENANCE:  Rifle was commissioned by Dr. Rod Carmen of New York City, NY, ca 1958.  Rifle was featured in 1990's Gun Digest(?) magazine story of a Cape Buffalo being taken with the rifle by Dr. Carmen. Rifles sold and imported into Canada late 2020 by current, and second owner.  Hand written letter of provenance from Jerry Fisher included.
